Lake Tyee Amenities and Recreation

 

Note: In most cases, amenities provided within the park are maintained by the staff. Gear to participate in the various activities is typically up to the member to provide.

Spacious Clubhouse –  The clubhouse is available for various Lake Tyee community events throughout the year. The clubhouse is equipped with a kitchen, a large ballroom, dance floor and stage. Inside the ballroom, pool tables, air hockey and foosball are available.

Swimming Pools– There are two heated swimming pools at the Clubhouse. They are open mid-May to Mid-Sept. Changing rooms with showers are available. Pool rules do not allow swim diapers or flotation devices. Swimming is at your own risk and children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No Alcohol, Food or Drugs. Only clear water bottles allowed.

Hot Tub Spas – Two Hot Tub Spas are available for use at the Clubhouse year -round. Same rules apply to the hot tubs as the pools.

Year-round fishing – no license required, but we do have a five fish per day limit. Fishing Derby held during the Memorial Day activities. Please clean any fish at your own lot.

Boating – Non-motorized boats (such as a row boat or kayak) and boats with electric motors are allowed on Lake Tyee. There is an area located on the grassy “fan” beside the Lake to store boats for the season (Apr – Oct ). If you want to secure your boat you will need to provide your own method. Boats must be removed by Oct 31st each year or they will be impounded.

Community beaches – All beaches along the lake are communal property. Please respect the privacy of the lake shore owners by accessing beaches only through marked paths, or by boat. And please take all trash with you when you leave.

Putt-Putt Golf – 18 holes of miniature golf is located at the edge of the lake, just past the office building.

Frisbee Golf – A four hole course located by the large gazebo on the fan area.

 

Tennis and Pickleball Courts – There are two tennis / pickleball courts located on Lake Tyee Drive.

 

Horseshoe Pits -The main location is on the grassy area between the Lake and the Clubhouse. There are several other horseshoe pits located throughout the park near gathering areas.

Volleyball Court – A volleyball court is available for use located between the Lake and the Clubhouse.

 

Basketball Court – On Tyee Drive, there are two basketball courts available.

Restrooms & Showers Throughout – Comfort stations are located throughout the Lake Tyee complex.

Keyed Security Gates – There are three access points into Lake Tyee.  All are gated, and the only way to gain access is with a key.

Laundry Facility – A laundry facility is open to all members. It is located by the office. Two coin operated washing machines and three coin operated dryers are available.

Gazebos – Gazebos are located throughout the park for members to enjoy. The gazebos are a great place for a picnic or BBQ. Please respect the privacy of nearby owners.

Children’s Playgrounds – There is a play area is near the Clubhouse. There are two play sets with swings and slides. There are numerous outdoor toys for children to enjoy. A second play area is located at 3B Basin Park. Parental supervision is encouraged.

Hiking Trails – A variety of trails wind through Lake Tyee property. The flattest is the Lake Trail which circles the Lake; it begins either at the far end of Lake Tyee Drive (South) or at the Pit area. This trail can accommodate ruggedized strollers.

Trail #1 starts at Suiattle Trail (near the Putt-Putt Golf range) and climbs steeply up the Hill to Kachess Trail at the end farthest from the Back Gate. Trails #2 and #3 start at the Lake level, on Tyee Drive and climb steeply up the Hill, connecting to North Tillicum Loop Trail.

Athletic Field – A large athletic field lies between the Lake and the Clubhouse. A small baseball diamond is located on the athletic field.

Lending book/DVD exchange – A variety of books and DVDs are available in the Clubhouse, near the shower rooms. Please drop off an item to exchange or return the borrowed one when you’re done with them.

All Lakefront is Open to all Lot Owners. Community Beaches are not to be used for Boat or Float Toy Storage.
