a. Barb did an excellent job. It could not have been easy for her but she did it without offending anyone (shouldn’t have offended anyone at least). It certainly came across that she cares about LT and wants it to become viable. I was not able to stay for the entire meeting, but very glad that I came! b. Thank you Barbara, excellent presentation! c. The lady doing the presentation on the budget did a great job and was very patient with handling people’s questions, especially the nonsensical ones. d. Barb, thank you for all of your hard work to present lots of information. e. Great Job! f. Thank you Barb, for all your many hours of hard work and your team. g. Thank you for all your hard work and time. Barb, you are doing a wonderful job. I know that it is thankless. h. It was hard to get all the questions answered correctly. i. Somewhat beneficial, need to allow more time for questions. 25. Comments (use back of page): Management/ the Board
a. You need to think about how you are treating the owners in this process. The tone of your letters, for the L&I- non compliance and the assessment, is threatening and almost abusive. I agree that the electrical needs to be upgraded and I’ll pay my fair share, but waiting until the last minute to decide “we need to collect money urgently to fix this” and making it the owners problem to make up for your irresponsible lack of foresight and planning, is only going to make owners angry and more people unwilling to pay. Marlene, (CDC manager) needs to respond to owners questions or else fire her and get someone who will. b. I realize that Marlene had to work late last night, but was disappointed she wasn’t at the meeting. The board should inform her that her attendance at this meeting is mandatory for her position. c. With all the power outages, why can’t we put the generator at the pump to take in water at night and pump it out during the day? d. Check on closure of lot owner concern forms. e. Check
on closure of work order forms. Close the loop, like they used to.Payments
a. We live in Canada; I feel we should have a longer period to pay, as our bills comes so late or E mail bills to save costs. I personally pay lump sums every few months for my electrical. b. Offer to owners- if they pay the entire estimated cost of the remainder of the electrical project, now, they will be paid in full, regardless of any increases in the cost, in the future years of the project. c. As
a benefit to the owners: say in 2-3 years, after selling quite a few seized lots, maybe give owners a $200 rebate on future
dues.Security a. Close the back gate permanently b. Hire security to sit at
the two main gates (Meadows and main entrance) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to verify ownership and to verify guest passes.Cost Cutting a. How about turning unused lots into Good Sams or KOA rentals to pay for assessments, so we don’t have to? b. Have we approached delinquent owners personally about whether they can pay part of their dues, with the balance as a lien against their property? c. Examine opportunities for additional revenue: sale of firewood, soda/ snack machine commission, start a mail receipt service at the office, for a fee (i.e.: owners that want service, pay a monthly fee.) d. Offer current properties owned by the club at a significant discount. Offer them first to the owners, then to the general public. Require two years of advanced payment of monthly dues from the purchaser of any discounted property. e. I recommend a lot of cut backs but only as a temporary measure until we get back on tract. (2011?) f. Check on PSE grant availability. g. Check on use of E bay to auction foreclosed property. h. Close half of all the comfort stations. i. Fix up lots owned
by LT and hire at least 3 Work Kamper couples. Provide free full time hook up for 20 hours a week from each person, extra
hours at min. wage. 6 people= 120 hrs/wk. They can mow, do minor repairs, paint clean and run pools, even run concessions
and help with social events. People like to commit by March for the summer. Subscribe and advertise in Work Kamper News.Speeding a. Speeding is a huge issue and would like to see speed bumps. b. Speeders should be ticketed before an accident happens. c. Speeding
is out of control especially around supposed child friendly areas: tennis courts/ golf course, we need to enforce before someone’s
child or grandchild dies. Why can we not generate revenue by giving out fines? I for one would volunteer
and I’m sure many others would as well. For that matter, paying someone for 4 hours a week end would be cost neutral-
at a minimum.Misc. a. Electrical, electrical, electrical- off approx. 15 times in the last 3 days! b. Upper road maintenance- Tillicum Trail washed out and not repaired yet- for 3 months! c. Foot bridge at bottom of trail 3- where did it go, and why was it not put back? Dam bridge- same? d. Shut the dogs up from barking
at the (manager’s) house.
